What We
Believe (aka, the big stuff) ....
- There is only one
true and living God. God resides in three persons; the
Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. (Genesis 1:2,27;
Matthew 28:19; I John 5:7)
- We believe the
Bible is the inspired Word of God. (II Peter 1:20,21)
- We believe Jesus
Christ, conceived of the Virgin Mary, is the only begotten
Son of the Father. Jesus was crucified, buried and rose from
the dead. He ascended to heaven and today is at the right
hand of the Father. (Luke 1:26-33)
- We believe we are
justified when we believe in Jesus Christ and repent of our
sins. (Acts 13:38,39; Romans 5:1; I Corinthians 6:11)
- We believe in the
Baptism of the Holy Spirit. We also believe that the Bible
sets certain guidelines for believers, non-believers and
even corporate worship in the use of Spiritual gifts. We
believe that the Spirit determines what gift each person
receives. We believe in the operation of the all the Gifts
of the Spirit and encourage people and uplift the body of
Christ to live so that these gifts may be manifest in their
lives. This includes healing but we do not condemn medical
science. (I Corinthians 12:4-11, Romans 12:6-8, Ephesians
4:11, 1Peter 4:11)
- We believe in
Salvation through confession of Jesus Christ as Lord and
Savior. (John 14:6; Romans 10:9-10)
- We believe in
water baptism by three means, immersion, pouring and
sprinkling, with water in the name of the Father, the Son
and the Holy Spirit. (Matthew 3:11; Matthew 28:18-19; John
14:6)
- We believe every
blessing we receive from God comes through Jesus' complete
sacrifice for us on Calvary. (Romans 5:11; James 1:16,17)
- We believe in the
Second Coming of our Lord, Jesus Christ. (Acts 1:10,11; I
Thessalonians 4:13-18; Revelation 1:7)
- We believe those
who die without the acceptance of Christ in their life will
be punished in an eternal hell, but those who accept Jesus
as their personal Savior shall share in His glory in Heaven
forever. (Daniel 12:2; Matthew 25:46; John 5:29; Jude 1:7)
- We believe in the
sacredness of marriage and family commitment and values.
(Ephesians 5:31-33; Ephesians 6:1-4; Hebrews 13:4)
- We believe that
Worship and Prayer are the most important aspect of giving
God the glory. We strive for heartfelt, passionate, and
unbound worship in our lives. Worship and prayer should be
mental, physical, and spiritual. (Psalm 29:2; Psalm 134:2;
Psalm 63:4; Matthew 4:9; Matthew 4:10; Revelation 4:10,11)
- We believe that
the three keys to blessing and favor in our lives are
praying, fasting and giving. These three combined together
leads to a more open and fulfilled relationship with Christ.
(Matthew 9:15; Daniel 10:3; Matthew 6:6; 1 Corinthians
14:15; 1Thessalonians 5:17; Genesis 28:22; Leviticus 27:30;
Malachi 3:10)
