Student Ministry ....

One of the saddest statistics that we've ever read at The Springs is that 80% of students will leave the Church (no matter how cool the student ministry is) when they graduate from high school.  Even sadder is that only 80% of the first group, will never come back.

At The Springs we believe that one of the main reasons is that there has become a huge separation between "Sunday morning" and "youth group".  It's not that way here.  We are not a mini-church for younger people.  We are part of the main body of our community.  Our students worship and serve just like every other adult in our church.  Our corporate Sunday Mornings are awesome, we don't try to re-invent the wheel or do it over a second time every week for just students.  We have created time and space for our students to connect and grow in relationships together, and through that community figure out what it means to live like Jesus.

Our weekly lifegroup for students is the main place where students can connect with other people their age and make the relationships that will get them through everything that they will face growing up.  Every Wednesday at 6:30 we transform the back room of our church into a coffee house, we have couches everywhere, great specialty drinks (for only a dollar), and an awesome time of fun!  We come together to worship together, to discuss together what we're studying at that particular time in the bible, and encourage and strengthen each other.  If you're a student, this is the place to form the relationships that you crave!

Activities
Every month we also offer an exciting opportunity for our students to come together and participate in a fun event.  Events have included:  Whitewater rafting, scavenger hunts, laser tag, frisbee golf, athletic events, etc.
